This session of the BCAT (Bimonthly of African Cinema of Tours) is the first of the year 2022.
Two films are shown:

Baltringue, directed by Josza Anjembe
France, 2020, short fiction, 20 min, starring Alassane Diong, Yoann Zimmer, Emile Fofana

After two years spent in detention, Issa is preparing to be released.
But a few days before his release, he meets Gaëtan, a young prisoner imprisoned for several more months.

Ìfé, directed by Uyaiedu Ikpe-Etim
Nigeria, 2020, short fiction, 38 min, starring Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Cindy Amadi

Ìfé and Adaora, two Nigerian women, fall in love over a three-day date. Ìfé is looking for someone to share her life with openly, but Adaora isn't ready to make the leap. When a critical secret is revealed, the two women have to decide how much they are willing to give up to sustain their new love.
