From Nantes to Noakchott, Dakar to Bamako, on the road with ‘travelling mechanics'. For the past 20 years, Amar makes his living from selling old cars in Africa, which he finds in farms, garages and various odd spots in France. He repairs them and takes them on a 6000 kms journey through France, Spain, Morocco, the Sahara, Mauritania down to Mali. On the way, Amar and his travelling mechanics make encounters, which go way beyond the idyllic vision of the beautiful landscapes they drive through, and get closer to engines and human relations…
