Last year, filmmaker Tan Chui Mui shot a short science-fiction film in Durban during the Durban International Film Festival (NO WOMAN BORN). While making the film she got to know some of the filmmakers of Durban. In Tan's native Malaysia, the Chinese and Malaysians do everything separately. How do the races here interact? She asked two Durban filmmakers: one black, one white.
