Isaac Julien's THE LEOPARD concerns journeys made across the seas of the Mediterranean, the journey and stories of the so-called "clandestini" (illegal immigrants) who leave Libya, escaping wars and famines. Isaac Julien's THE LEOPARD uses Visconti's Il Gattopardo (THE LEOPARD) as a starting point to explore questions surrounding the circulation of human lives, and the movement of bodies. Choreographed by Russell Maliphant, THE LEOPARD is a work that traces the effects of trauma, not just in people but also in architecture and life, by relocating these themes in a poetic manner.

______________________
