Angélique (Christianne Sylong), lives with her brother Fiston and her mother, Mrs. Widow (Rachel Ossima), in a housing estate in Libreville. On the death of her husband, Mrs. Widow switches to religion and joins the community of fanatics "Brothers and Sisters of Christ" supervised by Brother Arthur (Athanase Ngou Ossou).
Her house - in which the brother of the deceased, Uncle Didine (Prince De Capistran) wants to settle to put order - becomes a sanctuary where her brothers and sisters in God meet every day for meetings and prayers..
Angelique - who has accepted religion so as not to upset her mother - begins to suffocate. She sees the other girls having fun and can't help but envy them and look for an opportunity to leave the family home.
One day, a house becomes available and the owner's son, Régal (Jean Claude Mpaka), a musician, decides to recover this accommodation to turn it into a hostel. This boy, a bon vivant, woos Angelique. While appreciating his friendship, Angélique keeps him at a distance because of her religious convictions, but agrees to work with him at the inn, thus leaving the family bosom. For his mother, the musician artist is the incarnation of Satan. She will do everything to get her daughter back.
Despite their parents who oppose this marriage because they are not of the same ethnicity, the two young people decide to marry.
