Song and dance of the slaves, rebellious music, the Maloya, native of La Réunion, was long despised or even fought in the island.

Through the musicians Gramoun Lélé, Lo Rwa Kaf and Ti'Fock, the film tells what the Maloya represents as a means of expression and affirmation of an identity, and how this music fits in Reunion, region and French department located in the Indian Ocean to 10,000 kms of the metropolis, with its language, its history and its culture.
