The intrusion of HIV-AIDS inside the family unit and into the fight against poverty has serve to strengthen the misconceptions, the social and cultural beliefs that exclude women from the development system and put them in a position of a full dependence.
The Women who testify in this film are the members of APASS (Association of Active and United People against AIDS), located in Yaounde neighborhood. All these women are infected and affected by HIV-AIDS. So is Bimbia, the fictional character who is on the verge to leave her husband because he lives on denial.
Through these testimonies, these women claim their unhappiness and share their experiences on the psychological and economic damages, family and community dramas, that HIV-AIDS causes in their social life. They also express the mental approach taken by them to face adversity and make their choices in life.
