Javé is a little village doomed to be swallowed by the waters of a big hydroelectric dam. The only way to save the village is to have it classified as a national heritage site. The villagers get together and decide to write a book on the history of Javé. Antonio Bia is entrusted with this task, as he is the only one who knows how to write. He has to deal with a multitude of different versions of the history of the village, each one claiming to be the truth. To make things harder, Antonio Bia has a difficult character and his literary aspirations disturb several villagers, who fear that his story will read more like a novel...
