In 1966, Ahmed Lallem, in Elles, gave voice to high school girls from Algiers. The new Republic then filled their dreams with hope, change and gender equality. Thirty years later, in 1996, the director met with the same women, most of them in Algeria and some in exile. Four of them mention today their personal history, the place of the Algerian woman and bring their own vision about the Algerian situation.
