Mohamed, a retired worker, lives alone in Sonacotra, in the suburbs of Paris. He spends his time between his room, walks in Paris, and moments he shares with his friends, Mansour and Karim. Sick and forced to leave his hostel, he decides to return to Tunisia, his native country that he has not visited for many years. But the country has changed, and Mohamed feels like a stranger, a man in exile. As he travels across the country to find the village, at the gates of the desert, where he was born, he rediscovers sensations from his childhood. Reaching the desert, he will finally find internal peace.
