Each episode of this series highlights and raises the question of the origin of animals.

The stories are told with much talent and in the form of African legends by old Sekou. The tree in which old Sekou lives is a speaking tree. Knowing that his entirely human audience is totally under his influence, he is aware that he is a unique link between the world of human beings and the animal kingdom and takes advantage of this frequently.

He knows that he belongs to the sole animal species that is capable of "Speaking" the language of human beings and that of the animal species. However, his deepest wish is to impart his knowledge and wisdom of the animal kingdom to children.
