In de mijnen regio van Zoueratt (Mauritanie), meer dan 1200 vrouwen hebben een cooperative veneootschap gesteld. Zij maken juwelen met de stenen die ze gaan op honderden kilometers halen.

For a few years, women were presented in all the sectors of working life, especially through the existence of several feminine cooperatives. In the mining region of Zouerate, more than 1200 women are grouped together; they even go to fetch stones at hundreds of km from town before transforming them in jewel.
