Abdennasser is a 35-year-old Moroccan man who lives in southern Morocco with his wife and their two children, a boy and a girl. He is unemployed for more than ten years, so he's involved in a selecting cast for a movie. The director asks him to cut his moustache: Abdennasser agrees to do it, against the wishes of his wife. He obtains the engagement and carries his son on the set, to make him play a role with him. During the filming, for a sake of the scene, Abdennasser is slapped repeatedly. At the sight of her father abused, the child rebels and reacts...

Abdennasser, un uomo di 35 anni, vive nel sud del Marocco con la moglie e i loro due bambini, un maschio e una femmina. Disoccupato da più di dieci anni, partecipa alla selezione del cast per un film. Per ottenere l'ingaggio, il regista gli chiede di tagliarsi i baffi, cosa che Abdennasser accetta di fare contro la volontà di sua moglie. Porta con sé sul set del film anche il figlio, che perde ore di scuola, per fargli interpretare un ruolo con lui. Durante le riprese, per esigenze di scena, viene schiaffeggiato più volte. Alla vista del padre maltrattato, il bambino si ribella e reagisce…
