Breathe is an urgent slice of cinema that gets the pulse going, the sweat dripping, and is almost guaranteed to leave one out of breath. The action follows an unidentified man who is running and running, through the sweltering heat and pollution-choked atmosphere, past gridlocked cars baking in the sun. Though his motive remains a mystery, the viewer-through jerky point of view shots, visceral close-ups, and the potent use of sound-is drawn in to his journey, which terminates, ominously, in a graveyard.
