This feature film observes the interactions of Lidya and Robera, two young middle class Addis Ababa residents with Belgnesh and Shewangizaw who live in the Ethiopian countryside. Over the course of twenty days as Lidya and Robera experience the backbreaking labor of the majority of Ethiopians we watch them grapples with issues of privilege and gender while Belgnesh and Shewangizaw are also forced to question their steareotypes of city residents and consider their own lives. Cutting between interviews with the four major protagonists and scenes of daily life depicting small but heartfelt celebrations, the stoic manner with which the farmers confront their daily tasks and the beautiful but demanding landscape, in which they live, the film paints a rare picture of life in the Ethiopian countryside.
