A comedy series that portrays the daily lives of 4 modern african characters

SUM UP

Palabres offers the African viewer (including the Diaspora) a program with a sense of identity and community. A program "made in Africa" and produced to the highest broadcasting standards.

Palabres is a 5 minutes series (3 sketches). The idea is to create humorous dialogue and exchange among the characters: Dior, her partner Alfa, her sister Lydia and Vivien, Alfa's best friend. Some other characters such as the maid, Colombes or Perpetue the handyman, would appear in a few sketches.

What do we need and what do you get

30 episodes were co produced with Canal + Afrique tv and broadcasted exclusively on this channel in 2013. We would like to continue the adventure by producing 10 more episodes that we would put on Youtube.

We need your contribution to finance authors, actors, technical team, the studio set, accessories (setting, make up, hairstyle, clothing), transport, meals during the shooting and financial fees.

All our contributors would have their names on the credits and for the most generous, their name would be quoted by characters.

The impact

Palabres is a fiction that got together more than 10000 fans on Facebook. The objective of the series is to cast a new light on contemporary urban life in Africa. The african tv series are numerous but those combining humor, good film making and originality, are less. This tv series is also a good mean to show that beautiful projects can be born in the african continent and develop internationally.
