Filmmaker and writer SHANNON WALSH's first feature documentary H2Oil (DIFF 2009), showed the devastation caused by tar sands in Alberta, Canada. She directed in 2011 ST. HENRI, THE 26TH OF AUGUST (À ST-HENRI LE 26 AOÛT). Her short fiction and documentary films have screened around the world from Bangkok to Rio de Janeiro and at festivals such as the Brooklyn International Film Festival, Women in the Director's Chair and the Durban International Film Festival.
