Mamounata NIKIÈMA is a film director, screenwriter, film critic and producer.
She was born in 1979. After two residencies of writing and a Master in documentary, she leads her career as a director (2007) and producer in her company Pilumpiku Production created in 2011. She is very involved in Burkinabe filmmakers networks (Africadoc Burkina, Screenwriters Guild, Producer Coordination), and actively participates for several years at Fespaco at the "Espace Junior" commission. She is responsible of film programming of the festival "Les Rencontres Documentaires de Ouagadougou" LES SOBATÈ since 2010.
Since 2014 she is also assistant at Bobo-Dioulasso residency.
After completing two writing residencies and a Masters in creative documentary filmmaking, Mamounata Nikièma pursues her career as both director and a producer. She is very involved in the networks of Burkinabè filmmakers (Africadoc Burkina, Scriptwriters Guild, Producers Coordination), and for several years, has actively participated at Fespaco, in particular, the Espace Junior program. Since 2014, she has also been an assistant trainer during the Bobo-Dioulasso documentary writing residencies.
