Lyricist, Composer, Performer, multi instrumentalist and Artistic Director Gerald TOTO is not only a man of many skills. Over the years, He is a man who has learned to use his skills in to share his perception and define his wisdom.

Part of the underground scene in the middle of the 90's, he chooses a new direction by becoming the artistic director and composer of the the first album of the well known Faudel (writing songs such as " Tellement je t' aime")

On the heels of the commercial success Gerald Toto releases his first Album " les premiers jours" (Warner, 1998), a refine mix between cashew music and the music of Daniel Lanois.

Then for a few years, from middle eastern electro with the Band Smadj to the Vocals improvisations of " Toto Bona Lokua" with Richard Bona and Lokua Kanza (NoFormat 2004) - (which reminds us of a Bobby Mcferrin) Gerald TOTO has building a career fitting with his own questioning of Cultural Identity (west Indian) as well as musical identity

In 2006 Gerald comes back with a new album ?Kitchenette? (V2music), proof of a growing artist field with a sense of poetry and freedom. Meanwhile he is part of the ?Nouvelle Vague-Bande à part? project (Perfect Kiss) from which we all remember his cover of ?Don't go? and ?Heart of Glass?.

About to release his third Album ?Spring Fruits? Gerald Toto, seems to want to share with us a realistic, passionate and strong and raw vision of a world, which more than ever seems to be in need of its artists.
