Born in Cáceres (Spain) in 1973.

In 1994, she was one of three Spaniards to win a grant to study at the famous International School of Cinema, Television and Video of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba, from which she graduated in 1996. On her return to Spain, she completed her master's degree in audiovisual communication at Complutense University in Madrid.
She has written and directed several short films and documentaries including Ni allá en la popa, caramba, ni en Trinidad and La cigüeña. In 2003, she combined audiovisual projects with her work as a scriptwriter for the TVE programme entitled Version Espagnole. Un fiancé pour Yasmina (2008) is the first feature film that she has directed.
