Mike van Graan is the Executive Director of the African Arts Institute and serves as the Secretary General of the Arterial Network, a continent-wide network engaged in the African creative sector. His recent plays include Die Generaal, winner of the 2009 Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best New Script and Brothers in Blood, winner of the Naledi Award for Best New South African Play Produced in 2009. Iago's Last Dance has been nominated for a Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best New Script.
