Beatrix MUGISHAGWE.
Native from Tanzania, Mary-Beatrix Mugishagwe is holder of a master in mass communication from University of Munich in Germany, where she works as producer/director to different televisions and radios. When she is back in Tanzania more than 20 years after, she creates'Abuntu Visions', a company of audiovisual and cinematographic production. With her colleagues, she engages in audiovisual communication for a socio-economic and political change. Her works deal with gender and youth. To this date, she has produced and directed many documentaries on civic education, environmental issues, as well as on other developments issues. Beatrix is the founding chairman of'TAPA', Tanzanian Association of independent producers. She has also co founded the Tanzanian Forum of Scripters, structures which aims at developing their stories and ideas in order to make them public.
