Youcef Dris

Born October 25, 1945 in Tizi-Ouzou, my first real step in the writing I did them in 1972. Who had written short stories were published in the cultural pages of Al-Mujahid, while only newspaper in French.
In 1975, I tried writing a novel. I spent many months. Once finished, I offered the manuscript to the NMCS, only publisher of the time. Alas, he has remained well buried in their drawers, and has never emerged. Then, on the advice of friends who have read my essays correspondence, I am writing again. I left impressions, sensations, intuitions, images that distracted me unconscious and tried to put into words. In 1993 I met in a book, some poems were written during the years of black. Published by editor (Fennec) Ain Temouchent, this collection is entitled Grisaille I had sold the rights to a charity. In Oran, where I live now, I reconnected with the world press. As a first correction in a regional newspaper, then I was given the chief editor of a weekly arts and culture (West Coast). I am given to heart joy. I wrote short stories, true stories, drawn from news items, company records, and many poems. I also worked with other newspapers, dailies and weeklies.
And I started writing seriously. First, a first novel, "Lovers of Padovani" which contains a slight autobiographical background.
It's the memories of the past, visions of a native child of the time, whose writings now trying to understand the unexplained behavior of French Algeria against indigenous people in the settlement.
Dahman History and Amelia was born of memories or emotions associated with projections of childhood, from which a story has emerged. First is the environment, the emotional closeness of the characters as shown in the photos in the book: parents, friends, places and episodes that are out of childhood.
My second book is a children's story entitled Awthul rabbit blue, then succeeded him a book of five fairy tales "THE SWEET NIGHTS MALAK, local stories in tribute to my grandmother who told me this kind of stories for me sleep as a kid.
Then I published a book of the ENAG miscellaneous entitled CRIMINAL that appeared in 2005. Ensued from other books of the massacres in October 1961 and a biography of the late great artist Guerouabi Algerian and other children's stories, another collection of poems entitled ribaldry, then in 2010 a novel called The Well confiscated edition published by El Bahia Oran.
