Jean-Rivel Fondjo is an African photographer born in Douala. He doubles as an art and commercial photographer. He works within the West African sub region and resides in Ghana.
His father thought him photography through writing techniques at his early age. He later got formal training from courses organized by the College of Art and Social Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana and later enrolled in The Photography Institute in London, UK.
He has gained recognition with his personal view of framing, composition, colour, contrast and design.
His art photographs proceeds from an organized form, a concept and an image is immortalized. With the advent of digital photography, his works are sometimes manipulated with the other hand of the camera which is the computer. The end product is what he calls his style.
Presently Fondjo runs a vibrant photography Photo studio at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana. He trains students mostly from West African schools and universities who are interested in learning the craft of photography.
