Active within OCIC/SIGNIS since the mid sixties, Gustavo was
elected president of SIGNIS-Cuba in 1994, which is involved
in publications, video productions, cineclubs and participation in national and regional film festivals. In 2009, Gustavo was elected SIGNIS-World Vice President for a second term of office. He is also an executive producer for documentaries and an accomplished Film and media critic who has been a member of several SIGNIS juries at international, regional (Latin America) and national levels.

With the support of
