Born in London in 1972, Salem Brahimi is a Franco-Algerian producer and director and graduate of the EDHEC. After co-producing a documentary feature film with Chergui Kharoubi, Africa is Back, about the 2009 Panafrica Festival of Algiers, he then went on to make Abd El Kader, a documentary feature film about Emir Abdelkader. In 2014 he made a fictional feature film: Maintenant ils peuvent venir, an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Arezki Mellal, with whom he wrote the script. He has also produced fictional features and documentaries (including Mon Colonel by Laurent Herbiet, Cartouches Gauloises by Mehdi Charef, both of which were co-produced with KG Productions, Selves and Others by Emmanuel Hamon).
