BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES


NAME: Dhyaneswar DAUSOA.
DATE AND PLACE OF BIRTH: 24.09.44 at Dagotière, Mauritius.
ART ACTIVITY: Sculptor (wood, stone, plaster, cement and metal).
ART EDUCATION: Self-taught and further studies in India.
Training in stone carving under the guidance of Georges Pecqueur, Villiers-sur-Marnes, France
PROFESSION:
1972-1976: In charge of Sculpture Workshop, Centre Charles Baudelaire, Mauritius.
1976-1984: Art Education Officer at the School of Fine Arts, MGI, Mauritius.
1984-2004: Education Officer at the Gandhian Basic School, MGI, Mauritius.
At Present: Full time Sculptor
