Deon LOTZ is a South African actor.

Deon studied acting in Cape Town but worked for many years in the hospitality business before returning, in 2001, to indulge his first love of acting.

Since then he has enjoyed success and was nominated for a Fleur du Cap - Best Actor award for his stage performance in Wrestlers. In 2011 he was nominated again for his role in the Afrikaans production of Agterplaas. The same year he made his mark on the international film scene with the lead role in Skoonheid (directed by Oliver Hermanus) which was in the Official Selection of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. The film went on to win top honours at the Durban International Film Festival and won Best Actor awards for Deon in Zurich and at the SAFTAS in Johannesburg.
He plays Roelf Venter in SLEEPER'S WAKE (directed by Barry Berk, 2012).
