Egyptian Visual Artist and Filmmaker.

Basim Magdy (born in 1977, Assiut, Egypt) has a Bachelor's degree in painting from Helwan University in Cairo (Faculty of Fine Arts), although his environment has shaped him more than his education. He combines various forms of art in his work, such as paintings, installations, animation and sculptures. He is particularly interested in creating narrative structures that explore the space between reality and fiction.
