Yinka Edward is rapidly establishing himself as one of Africa's leading cinematographers. A graduate of the National Film Institute in Jos, Yinka's cinematography has been a defining feature of many of the most exciting recent films to emerge from Nigeria, including Kunle Afolayan's The Figurine (2009) and Phone Swap (2012), Izu Ujukwu's Alero's Symphony (2011) and the highly-anticipated Lions of'76 (2013) also with Izu Ujukwu. Yinka worked with Kenyan director Judy Kibinge on the movie Something Necessary (2013) and was cinematographer for Cinema Kpatakpata's forthcoming release Confusion Na Wa (2013).

Yinka's television credits include the BBC's acclaimed series Wetin Dey (2007), The Ties That Bind (2010), Namibia's first indigenous TV series.

Yinka won the 2010 AMAA (African Movie Academy Award) for his work on The Figurine, confirming his status as one of the continent's most exciting talents.
