DJ Ausar is Resident DJ & Music Supervisor at Parallel Film Collective (Washington).
Originally from California, DJ Ausar is currently based in Atlanta and has emerged as a trend-setter as a DJ on 89.3 WRFG FM. His vehicle for social movement, "The Kalakuta Show" blends Afro-Beat, Funk, Jazz, Rare Groove, House and Broken Beats from all over the world. He also coordinates on-air promotions for Ocha Records and has spun music along side The Last Poets, Roy Ayers, Hugh Masekela, Fertile Ground, DJ Spinna, Dego of 4hero, Jeremy Aryo Ellis, Djinji Brown, Carlos Mena, Omar and Daz-I-Kue of Bugz in the Attic. DJ Ausar produces regular programming for the UK online music site www.soulandjazz.com. He is the music supervisor for Parallel Film Collective as well as Resident DJ for our monthly "Hair in the Gate."

Beyond music, DJ Ausar is a cultural arts teacher at an Atlanta school and is a Yoruba Ifa priest. Both teaching and studying Yoruba culture are his passion.
