Diarah N'DAW SPECH is a film critic ; she is co-founder of the first festival of diapora films created in 1993 in the USA. Through this, she
was able to promote African and afro-american films, mostly including music as well as the cultural activities of the universities. In over 700 films which depict the richness of diversity, a great number of works made success in the tough American and Canadian distribution networks. She is owner of a company named ArtMattan Productions. The website of her company ensures the promotion of African film festivals like FESPACO.
With her husband, Reinaldo Barroso-Spech, she is the Co-Director of the African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADFF) in New York with an edition in Paris (France) started in September 2011.
