Nigerian Danish filmmaker, Cinematographer.

Jide Tom Akinleminu was born in Denmark, 1981. Son of a Nigerian farmer and a Danish librarian. He grew up in the town of Ikorudu, Nigeria until 1991, when his family moved to Denmark. He studied music and sound engineering, and then photography at Fatamorgana, the famous Danish school of art and photography. He moved to Berlin in 2004 to study cinema at DFFB, the German Film and Television Academy. He has worked as director of photography in many films presented at various international festivals, including Locarno, Oberhausen, the Berlinale, and FIDMarseille.
"Portrait of a Lone Farmer" (2013, his first feature film) is his graduation film at German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) where he studied Cinematography. The documentary was screened at the iREP festival 2014 (Lagos).

Jide Tom Akinleminu (Danimarca, 1981), figlio di padre nigeriano e madre danese, ha vissuto in Nigeria fino al 1991, quando la famiglia si è trasferita in Danimarca. Ha studiato musica e ingegneria del suono e poi fotografia, frequentando Fatamorgana, celebre scuola danese d'arte e fotografia. Nel 2004 si è trasferito a Berlino per studiare cinema alla Dffb, l'accademia tedesca di cinema e televisione. e ha lavorato come direttore della fotografia in numerosi film presentati in festival internazionali, tra cui Locarno, Oberhausen, la Berlinale e il Fid di Marsiglia. Portrait of a Lone Farmer è il suo primo lungometraggio.
