Malik Chibane was born of French nationality in 1964 at Saint-Vallier, in the drôme county. He then lived in Goussainville, on the Grandes Bornes housing-estate, and for the past five years in Sarcelles. Electrician-lighting technician at the Porte-Saint-Martin Theatre, he is also founder of the production company Alhambra Films in 1993. In 1993, he wrote, produced and directed a feature film : "Hexagone" (1993). The success of this film allows him to direct a second feature film in professional conditions, "Douce France" (1995), then "Né quelque part in 1997, initiated by Arte, and "Voisins Voisines" (2005).
