Hakim NOURY (or Hakim Nouri) is a director, screenwriter, actor and producer.
He is known for "The Postman (Le Facteur)" (1979), "L'Enfance volée" (1993), " Destin de femmes" (1998) and "Elle est diabétique et hypertendue et elle refuse de crever" (1999).

From his real name Abdellah Noury, he was born on April 14, 1952 in Casablanca (Morocco).
He obtained a literary baccalaureate degree (Modern Letter) in 1970.
Previously, he studied drama (theater lessons) at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Casablanca (1966-1970).
He made his cinema debut in the 70s thanks to Souheil Ben Barka whom he assisted for the majority of his films, from 1971 and on most of his films until 1981 (as assistant director). He shoots "Sans paroles" (1977) his first short film.
He directed The Postman (Le Facteur), his first full-length film in 1979.
He wrote all his films from L'Enfance volée (1993) to Destin de femmes (1998), or Voleur de rêves (1995) and Un simple fait divers (1997).
In the 80s, he had the opportunity to work for television for which he directed three TV films: "Taxi" (1984), "The electrician" (1984) and "The servant" (1985), then "Angoisse "(2001).
Trained in acting, he plays in his film LE BOUT DU MONDE (2011).
He is also an actor for Imad Noury and Swel Noury, his sons, in 3 feature films they co-directed: LES PORTES DU PARADIS / HEAVEN'S DOORS (2006), THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD / L'HOMME QUI A VENDU LE MONDE (2008) and ELLE EST DIABÉTIQUE 3 (2012). He gets in front the camera in ISLAMOUR by Saâd CHRAÏBI (2007).

In the 90s, he was one of the most prolific directors of Moroccan cinema.
He was president of the Morocan technician chamber from 1992 to 1997, then vice-president of the Moroccan producers chamber.
His wife María Pilar CAZORLA managed (until her death in 2014) their production company, Prod'Action (based in Casablanca).
