ABOUT US

Founded in 2004 by Mathieu BOMPOINT, Mezzanine Films has produced more than thirty short films, which have been screened at prestigious festivals in France and around the world. These include films by Maud ALPI (Groundwork, Nice, and Run), Louis GARREL (My Pals, Little Tailor), Cécile BICLER and Herve COQUERET (Patrick Patrick Club Suicide, The Edge of the World), Vourdalak by Frédérique MOREAU, and Dounouia by Anthony QUERE and Olivier BROUDEUR, which received a prize at the 2010 Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival and has screened at more than thirty festivals.

On the feature film end, Mezzanine Films has produced 4 features: Free Hands by Brigitte Sy, who was discovered at Clermont Ferrand in 2009 with The Best Place; Beast Paradise by Estelle Larrivaz, which received the Audience Award at the 2012 Festival Premiers Plans d'Angers; The Good Life by Jean Denizot, which was just selected at Venice Days, the sidebar of the Venice Film Festival, and is coming soon to French theaters.

In addition, Lightning, Manuela Morgaine's legend in four seasons, received its world premiere at the Bright Future section of the International Film Festival at Rotterdam, which took place from January 23 to February 4, 2013. It was also selected at the T-Mobile New Horizons festival, from July 18 to 28, 2013, in Wroclaw, Poland.

Mezzanine Films continues to produce 3 to 5 short films a year, while at the same time developing independent feature projects.
