Le guerbagi (1984, with animated puppets), concerned a water vendor killed by the police during Tunisia"s struggle for independence in the 1950s.

1952: Tunisia before independance. The armed struggle is organized by a political leader. Secret meetings allow them to avoid colonialist police. In the popular district of the Tunis Medinah, an old water carrier actively takes part in the stuggle, with the means at his disposal.
