It's the great golden fish that swims up from the deep reaches of
our creativity: the urge to explore, understand, explain and express
our humanity. This is art: the spirit of human expression. If the
lights are out, this is what saves us: the ability to tell stories, make
pictures, dance and sing. Make light where there was darkness.
This is the National Arts Festival. Wow! What are you saving yourself
up for? Let the tide sweep you down to Grahamstown. It's the place
to be from 26 June to 5 July 2008.
