We have brothers, sisters and friends who have succumbed to sickle cell anemia. Most of us do not know much about what causes it and how we could help the people who live with it. Sometimes it comes with ignorance and other times it's giving up that things may not be better. But we fondly wait until the nail hits closer home to start looking for solutions haphazardly.

Regardless of the current situation, it is important that we all get the right information. Do you have experiences with people who have sickle cell anemia? How has it been for you? If you are the one who has it, how has it affected your life?

Life is a battle. Some people fight bigger wars though. Fatuma is a warrior. Are you?

We host amazing people who will give us social awareness on sickle cell anemia now that September is Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month. We shall have poetry and music from Norman, Halisi the Band,TD Poetsome, Info, Sonia Audi, and many more.

You know you must attend this one. See you on Saturday.
