Mokoomba is a young and vibrant Zimbabwean Afro fusion group based in Victoria Falls. The group is made up of six members and sing a fusion of Tonga and West African music.
Mokoomba has won several awards including the Music Crossroads in 2008 and the National Arts Merit Award in 2013. Their Afro jazz is based on traditional Tonga music and instruments such as the Tonga Jemba drum, whistle and a bell.
The name Mokoomba stems from the deep respect that the Tonga have for the mighty Zambezi river and for the vibrant life that it brings to music and culture
