Jibilika Dance Trust is a social enterprise established in 2007 by a group of unemployed volunteer artists. The initiative seeks topromote the dance industry, exploit capabilities to alleviate poverty, generate employment, economic, social and cultural growth.
Jibilika Dance Trust shares the concept that art in its different forms is a universal language transcending all communication boundaries hence the use of those forms of art to engage, inform, transform, sustain and entertain. Africa is pregnant with raw and untapped artistic talent that has the potential to sustain and transform lives.
Jibilika Dance Trust undertakes a mixed range of activities to fulfill its mission and vision. Whilst individually named, all the projects are interlinked. The program design allows for sharing of information, ideas and experiences across projects.
