The TALKING IMAGES' WORKSHOPS project initiated by the SARY MITENY ASSOCIATION aims to propose to young people in Madagascar an introduction to the cinematographic art, by getting them involved in short-films' workshops.
OBJECTIVES
The principal objectives are:
To give the opportunity to young people to discover what cinematography is, and to contribute to the development of this latter in Madagascar.
To make people aware of cinematography as an art, and as a tool of expression and social transformation.
To stimulate the will of youth on storytelling and filmmaking.
And last but not least, to reveal and share some elements of the Malagasy culture by treating problems that participants are facing or identifying in their own community, during the workshops.
HOW ?
The main idea is to allow a group of young people discovering cinematography by being directly involved in the process of filmmaking, from the birth of the idea to the finished product. They will participate as co-authors, technicians, actors etc, during the writing, shooting and editing stages.
