Kaia Photo is a full-service photography studio and consulting agency designed to meet all of your visual communication needs. Based in Maputo, Mozambique, we cover short- and long-term assignments across Southern Africa as well as anywhere in the world. We also offer consulting services and logistical assistance for photographers wanting to develop a series of work, both for personal projects and commissions. We work on assignments from conception to completion and deliver top quality results on time and within your budget. For turnkey projects, we are able to look after the entire production, which may include location scouting, model coordination, makeup, styling as well as other logistical matters involved in the shoot.
Kaia is owned and operated by Mário Macilau, an established fine arts photographer with a rich background spanning various photographic industries. The mission of Kaia is to combine technical proficiency with aesthetic intuition to produce rich, beautiful and effective photographs. Because we view each assignment as an opportunity to create something new and gorgeous, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with our clients to achieve the look and feeling they desire for their photographs.
Although we specialize in people and event photography, we pride ourselves on our versatility. We work across genres, from environmental portraiture, fashion, fine art and glamour to illustration, journalism, lifestyle, science fiction and traditional portraiture. Our broad stylistic range has allowed us to cater our services to a diverse array of clienteles, ranging from private individuals to public corporations.
