The XVII edition of Cubadisco will get the attention for those who love art, variety and quality this traditional event usually offers. Cubadisco to be held on May 18th to 26th is dedicated to young people, concert music, violin and to the so called classical, traditional and popular music. This year Ecuador is the guest of honor country.

Saturday May18th.

8:00pm/ National Theater of Cuba, Avellaneda room, 8:30pm, Award Ceremony.

Sunday May19th

National Theater of Cuba, Covarrubias Room, 11:00am/ Opening Gala/ Symphony Orchestra led by Enrique Perez Mesa and the participation of Jacobo Ormaza, an Ecuadorian violinist, a North American violinist and a lyric singer. Delivery award ceremony to outstanding figures. Artistic director: Efrain Sabas.
Jardines de la Tropical, 5:00pm/ Performing of La Colmenita and the Children Environmental Project "Cubanos en la Red".
National Theater of Cuba, Avellaneda room, 8:30pm/ Violin concert with more than a hundred Cuban violinists and the presentation and musical direction of Manolito Simonet.
Salón Rosado de la Tropical: Enrique Alvarez/ Azucar Negra

Monday May 20th.

Center for Research and Development of Cuban Music, 9:00am/ Inauguration of Cubadisco International Symposium to be held on May 24th at 10:00am to 1:00pm.
Workshops on Musical Industry (may20th-21st)
Workshop "Musica Moda" on May 22nd (Organized by the British Council)
Salón Rosado de la Tropical: NG La Banda/ Pupy y Los que Son Son

Many activities will be celebrated at Delirio Habanero, organized by EGREM, BisMusic and cultural centers, since May20th to closure of the event. Besides at Palacio de la Rumba, a program of traditional pop music organized by Ignacio Piñeiro Enterprise and other cultural centers.
