Irresistible Beauty is a romantic story. Germaine, a young Rwandan woman, is a long-standing friend of Paul, a young businessman from her village who is trying to swindle Shakur, an Indian, by selling him a property.

The Indian is struck by Germaine's irresistible beauty, as she is a member of a group of traditional Rwandan dancers. Germaine's father, Karekezi, an old man with diabetes who does not follow the doctor's instructions, instead spends time drinking with Paul, assuring him that he is the only son-in-law he wants.

The love between Germaine and Shakur grows and blossoms like a tree planted by the river, and the opposite is true for her old lover Paul, as the love between them continues to fade like wax exposed to the sun.
