Le 8 janvier 1959, dans une ville étonnamment déserte, un prêteur sur gages part à la recherche de Miguel, cherchant avant tout à protéger l'honneur fragile de son entreprise. Miguel est probablement sur le point de mourir, mais une jeune femme le trouve la première, ignorant que le dernier accès de vanité charnelle de cet homme la fera subir une situation insurmontable et pénible pendant vingt-quatre heures.

On January 8, 1959, in a surprisingly empty city, a pawnbroker or moneylender searches for Miguel, trying above all to protect the fragile honor of his business. El 8 de enero de 1959, en una ciudad pasmosamente vacía, un garrotero o prestamista busca a Miguel, tratando sobre todo de proteger el frágil honor de su negocio.
