Zee Town Sojaz is a hiphop group from Zanzibar. The group was established in 2011 by three zenji flava artists: King Pozza, Kira Kirami and Chaby Six, after releasing their individual songs and getting significant airplay on local and national radio stations in Zanzibar and Tanzania.

They wanted to get to know each other, and all met at Jupiter Records, in Zanzibar. After excited discussions they eventually decided to create a new group to represent hiphop from the islands perspective. King Pozza come up with the name Zee Town Sojaz: the soldiers of Zanzibar Town.

Their first single as a group featured Chiku K of La Familia, and it was well received. In 2012 Chaby Six quit from the group. In the meantime they made a remix and created a new track "Usiogope", featuring Dully Sykes, soon followed by "Nakupa Kisogo", featuring Ben Pol.

Between June 2012 and March 2013 King Pozza was completing his 3rd year of university education, and Kira Kirami was busy elsewhere, so they paused music for a while. During May 2013 the group returned to the studio to record "Chinjachinja" (slaughter!).

Zee Town Sojaz are on a musical mission. To put Zenji hiphop on the map and see it fly, worldwide!
