Literary critic Stanley Mushava has published his debut poetry anthology titled "In Memory of the Future".

The book which was released last Sunday was published by Mushava's Pro-Faith Press.

In an interview with the Herald Entertainment, Mushava said the book focuses on spreading love, humanity and waging peace to all nations.

"In Memory of the Future is a loud and clear call for our generation to place eternal considerations in the balance and the book is overtly Christian because I believe it's time for bold writing and clear speaking," he said.

He also added that he does not believe in fiction writing but real life literature.

"I write about real life as I see it and whether I write about love, meaning, suffering or international affairs I mean what I write. Double speaking is not a luxury I can afford because I am not writing out of vanity but I have a definite message by which readers can make meaning of their lives and have something to think about," he said.

He also said that it is disheartening that some writers write what they believe in and not putting other people's beliefs into consideration.

"If you are to reach across culture with a message, a creative package not dry indoctrination must be the vehicle and that is what I did in my book," he said.

The book is currently available on Mazwi Books as an ebook.

Mushava who is a student at the National University of Science and Technology is currently working on his second book "The End of Creativity" to be released before the end of this year.
