Jehyna Sahyeir is a multidisciplinary artist (singer, songwriter, composer, and actress) who represents a new generation of Haitian music. She develops a distinctive style calls Vodou-jazz, blending jazz with traditional Vodou rhythms and chants.
Born in 1994 in Port-au-prince, Haïti, she began her artistic journey through theater in 2012 and later expanded her practice to music and vocal performance. She has performed internationally in New York, Montreal, Barbados, France, and beyond. Trained in the Roy Hart voice method at Pantheatre Acts in Paris, she also holds a Master's degree in Performing Arts from Université Paris 8.
An engaged artist, she is a member of an inclusive dance company (Compagnie Dk-Bel) and leads vocal performance and choreographic theater workshops, combining voice, movement, and contemporary ritual in a poetic and political approach.
