Joe Were better known as "jaydabliu" is a photographer whose photography journey started in 2010 when he met a few amazingly talented individuals.

One was Patricia Kihoro. An amazing musician, radio personality and photographer who was documenting her walks in the city of Nairobi back then. After following her work for a while, I decided to get an iPhone and try taking pictures and sharing stories like she did. Through interacting with her, he met the amazing and talented photographer and architect, Mutua Matheka  and his good friend Mwangi Kirubi.

Armed with inspiration from three, he got his first camera in December 2013. Since then he has done plenty of projects and commercial work for various people and companies.

In Nairobi, Joe is often referred to as the king of street portraits and people stop him in the streets to ask him to shoot them and put them on his Instagram page. With a focus on documentary, portrait  and travel photography, he  now does photography full time while in his spare time plays the keyboard for the world renowned and award winning Just a Band.
